The base of my work was inspired by archaeology and ancient ceramics, especially those belonging to Persian History. I’m attracted to the natural form and irregular beauty of these ancient pots and ceramics, they show both the passage of time and the effects of time on these pieces. Reminding me that they came from the very heart of history.
Working with clay is an incredible experience. When I hold a piece of clay in my hand, I feel connected to mother earth and making a piece of art from the earth is a great pleasure.
